Why These Limitations Exist?

The Web Bluetooth API is a relatively new web standard that allows websites to communicate directly with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices. Our firmware update process relies on this technology to:

• Establish secure connections - Connect to your device safely
• Transfer firmware data - Send update files directly to the device
• Monitor progress - Provide real-time update status

Browser Implementation Status

• Chrome/Chromium-based browsers: First to implement and maintain the most complete support
• Safari: Apple has chosen not to implement Web Bluetooth API for security and battery life concerns
• Firefox: Mozilla has not prioritized Web Bluetooth implementation
• iOS Browsers: All iOS browsers must use Safari's WebKit engine, inheriting its limitations

Can't find device during scan

• Check: Device is powered on and in pairing mode
• Check: Bluetooth is enabled on your computer/phone

Update fails midway

Why doesn't this work on my iPhone?

Apple has not implemented the Web Bluetooth API in Safari or iOS, citing security and battery life concerns. This is a limitation of the iOS platform, not our firmware update tool.

Can I use Firefox?

Unfortunately, Mozilla Firefox has not implemented Web Bluetooth API support. We recommend using Chrome or Edge instead.

What about Safari on Mac?
